Protecting your personal data is important to me. Below I inform you about the processing of personal data when visiting this website in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When the pages are accessed, Vercel processes technically necessary access data. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Vercel; any transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

When the website is accessed, information is automatically stored in what are known as server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser and operating system used, and the previously visited page (referrer). This data serves the technical provision, security and stability of the website. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

3. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

4. Fonts (locally hosted)

This website uses fonts that are embedded locally on the server. No data is transferred to third parties (e.g. Google Fonts) when you access the site.

5. Cookies

Technically necessary cookies are used – where required – only to provide the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Statistics or marketing cookies (e.g. via Google Analytics, see section 7) are only set with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

6. Consent via the cookie banner

On your first visit to this website, you can decide via a consent banner whether statistics cookies may be set. Without your active consent, no analytics service with cookies is activated. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so that the banner does not reappear on every visit. You can revoke or change your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR) by opening the cookie settings again.

7. Google Analytics

This website uses – only after your consent – Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The purpose is the statistical evaluation of website use in order to improve the offer. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Without consent, Google Analytics is blocked by default via “Consent Mode” (no analytics cookies). If you give your consent, pseudonymous usage data (e.g. shortened IP address, pages accessed, approximate location, device/browser, dwell time) are processed. IP anonymisation is enabled. This may involve a transfer to Google LLC (USA); the basis is the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Google. You can implement your revocation via the cookie settings.

8. Contact (form, email, phone)

If you send me an enquiry via the contact form, by email or by phone, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address and your message) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) as well as the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent this.

9. Appointment scheduling

If online appointment booking is offered, the data entered there is processed to arrange and carry out the appointment. Details of the respective service will be added here as soon as it is integrated.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • objection to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • revocation of consent given with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Baden-Württemberg.
