Protecting your personal data is important to me. Below I inform you about the processing of personal data when visiting this website in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When the pages are accessed, Vercel processes technically necessary access data. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Vercel; any transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

When the website is accessed, information is automatically stored in what are known as server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser and operating system used, and the previously visited page (referrer). This data serves the technical provision, security and stability of the website. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

3. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

4. Fonts (locally hosted)

This website uses fonts that are embedded locally on the server. No data is transferred to third parties (e.g. Google Fonts) when you access the site.

5. Cookies

This website only uses technically necessary cookies, insofar as they are required for operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). No cookies are used for analytics; no statistics or marketing cookies are set.

6. Analytics with Matomo (cookieless)

For the statistical analysis of website use, I use Matomo, a self-hosted open-source analytics tool. Matomo is configured cookieless here and does not store any cookies on your device. The IP address is processed in shortened (anonymised) form, no data is transferred to third parties, and all data remains on a server in the EU. No personal reference is established. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in privacy-friendly analytics to improve the service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). As no cookies are set and the analysis is anonymous, no consent is required and there is no cookie banner.

7. Objection to analytics

You can object to the anonymous analytics at any time. Matomo respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting; if it is enabled, no measurement takes place.

As measurement is cookieless and anonymised, no usage profile relating to you is created.

8. Contact (form, email, phone)

If you send me an enquiry via the contact form, by email or by phone, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address and your message) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) as well as the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent this.

9. Appointment scheduling

If online appointment booking is offered, the data entered there is processed to arrange and carry out the appointment. Details of the respective service will be added here as soon as it is integrated.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • objection to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • revocation of consent given with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Baden-Württemberg.

11. Up-to-dateness

This privacy policy will be adjusted as soon as the data processing changes (e.g. through new features or services). As of: 2026.
